Motets and Sonatas form 1626 composed by the Bergamese composer are part of the program of this CD from the series “UNICA – vergessen, verkannt”. Monika Mauch, a specialist at the field of interpreting ancient music who worked with famous ensembles such as the “Les Cornets Noirs”, sings the soprano on this record giving it her unique touch. The young ensemble mainly plays Italian and German works from the 17th century. The interpretations always include the same core instruments (two cornets, two violins, one violoncello and pipe organ), in addition to these depending on the work singers and other instruments are added.
