Alessandro Scarlatti

This CD, the first to combine harpsichord music by both Scarlatti father and son, throws a new light on Domenico Scarlatti's well-known sonatas and draws attention to the unjustly neglected harpsichord compositions by his father Alessandro.

Angela Koppenwallner was born in Sazburg, has been teaching harpsichord and clavichord at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg since 1998 and has given many concerts with various ensembles and orchestras all over Europe. Her extensive solo repertoire reaches from renaissance to modern music.
