Kaisermühlenblues

An entertaining observation of the Viennese Gemeindebau culture in funny aspects, but also a serious analyses of the problems which are being faced with them. The author of the TV series “Kaisermühlenblues” recreates the atmosphere of the Viennese Gemeindebaus. Within this microcosm the main characters of the “10th stair” live; Gitti Schmek (Marianne Mendt), a nice lady, Miss Turecek (Brigitte Neumeister), a typical Viennese janitor, Miss Kaiser (Ellen Umlauf), also known as “Miss Gestapo”, Miss Kaiser’s opponent local politician, Erwin Schoitl (Peter Fröhlich, Rudi Gneißer (Götz Kauffmann) and many more.

“Kaisermühlenblues” is a TV series, which was shown and produced during 1992 and 1999 by ORF, and became one of the most popular series in Austrian TV.
