The AUSTRIA NEWSREEL reports about the burial of president Dr. Franz Jonas as well as the swearing in of his successor Dr. Rudolf Kirchschläger, it shows the Ski-World Cup-successes in St. Moritz, Wolfgang Ambros “Der Watzmann ruft”, US-president Nixon in Salzburg, the oil crisis, the Flitzer-culture in Berlin, the international match Austria-Hungry and a lot more about politics, culture, sports and society. With the Film Library-Austria-Edition “Österreichische Wochenschaun” the most important documents of the cinema-reports from the 30ies to the 80 are published. The annual editions contain the highlights from politics, sports , society and everyday life – apart from prominent occurrences of contemporary history, collective memories and sometimes oral history especially one thing: pure zeitgeist.
