The Year of 1938 DVD

There were two events of major international importance in the year 1938: the "Anschluss" of Austria in March and the so-called “Sudeten crisis”, which eventually resulted in the "voluntary“ integration of the Sudeten region into the German Reich.

With the Filmarchiv Austria edition “Österreichische Wochenschauen” publishes a range of historic film footage from the last year of peace before the Second World War.
